Accompanied by our guides, explore the grounds around the Fontinettes Boat Lift and marvell at the scale of the man-made structures that enable navigation on this good old Neuffossé Canal – which has certainly seen its fair share of barges!

Then head to the visitor areas of the boat lift to step back in time to 1967 and meet Jacques, the boat lift’s caretaker, who will whisper in your ear the little anecdotes that make up the grand history of this extraordinary monument.

Guided tour (45 minutes) followed by access to the Fontinettes Boat Lift interpretation centre for a self-guided audio tour (approximately 45 minutes).
